JFK-Heathrow service on JetBlue is expanding

Writer: NomadicaNomadica

For passengers wishing to fly from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York to London, JetBlue has some great news. According to the airline, service between JFK and London Heathrow Airport (LHR) will increase in March, while service between JFK and London Gatwick Airport will decrease (LGW).

JetBlue will launch a brand-new morning flight from JFK to Heathrow on March 25 to complement the company's current evening departure from JFK. The new flight will leave JFK at 8:30 a.m. EST and land in London at 7:30 p.m. At 8:25 a.m. local time, the return flight will depart from London and land in New York just before noon. Customers will have additional alternatives and flexibility with their travel plans thanks to this new innovation.

JetBlue's 6 pm daily departing flight between JFK and Gatwick, which had a return departure time of 8:10 am local time in London, will be discontinued as a result of the addition of this new service. However, the airline will continue to run its daily 7:30 p.m. JFK-Gatwick route, with a midday return departure time.

After securing an additional daily Heathrow landing and departure slot, JetBlue is able to make the switch. The relocation allows JetBlue to give their customers additional options and gives the carrier a stronger presence at the biggest and most significant airport in the United Kingdom. The airline began operating flights between JFK and Boston and Heathrow and Gatwick in 2021, when it first entered the U.K. market.

With additional alternatives now available to them, customers of JetBlue can select the flight schedule that best matches their needs. In addition to offering more frequent service to Heathrow, JetBlue is a desirable option for international travel because it makes it easier for passengers to connect to other locations in the UK and Europe.

This action is a part of JetBlue's ongoing efforts to improve its service and meet the evolving requirements of its customers. The airline has always been dedicated to giving its customers the finest travel experience possible.

With the addition of a second daily Heathrow landing and departure slot, JetBlue will have a stronger presence at the biggest and busiest airport in the United Kingdom and will be able to provide more options for its passengers. With additional alternatives now available to them, customers of JetBlue can select the flight schedule that best matches their needs.
